RATA-TAT-TAT

A new remix of Ke$ha's "Sleazy" has surfaces
featuring an insert from André 3000. It's
alright, don't care much for "Sleazy", but whatev.
Takes yo'self a listen and tell me whatcha think.

Delicious: P!nk "Fuckin' Perfect" Video Preview

You definitely are. : )
The brilliant songwriter, Ms. Moore (Pink.), hit the
right chords with this most recent tune. There's
a video on the horizon, take a sneak peek if
you adore this lady as much as I do, and continue
by listening to the whole song after.

Delicious: Meghan Tonjes "Hold It Against Me / Grenade"

Good cover story. Get it? Get it? :D
This lovely lady did a video mash up song of
Bruno Mars' "Grenade" Britney's new song
"Hold It Against Me", making a smooth acoustic
powerhouse of a song and I personally love it.
Check it out here:

Revitalized: Corinne Bailey Rae "Wanna Be Your Lover (Prince Cover)"

Insert clever and/or funny caption here.
Ah, if I wasted so tired I'd prolly have a little more to say
Ms. Corinne has announced by the end of the month
she will release an EP consisting of covers of
the biggest influences of her music, from this Prince cover
below to Doris Day's "Que Sera Sera". I'm not digging
this Prince cover very much though, and I love me some
Bailey Rae. No one can really cover Prince, I don't hold
it against her. It's difficult to say the least. Take
a listen to "Wanna Be Your Lover" here.

Revitalized: Kelly Rowland "Hangover"

Where were you? All up in something? Bah. I'm not clever today.
Been awhile since we were reminded of Destiny's Child, with all
the hubbub about Britney's song leak, Ms. Rowland's song leaked
and no one made a commotion. Just like Britney's new song, this
version isn't completely polished. That doesn't mean it's not good
though. It's a pretty pop single, a surefire hit. Andre Merritt was a
co-writer and provides the (probably stand-in) vocals here. I think this
is a sign that she's opening that door she's been staring at for awhile.
This beat's a style all it's own. When it's polished it can only
get better, or she could completely fuck it up. I dunno.
Take a listen to "Hangover" and you decide.

Delicious: Britney Spears "Hold It Against Me"

Don't let them bring you down, it's all right!
Releases for real in just a little bit, but it leaked earlier today,
too bad I was asleep. Go ahead and take a listen to
the lady's pop-synth bog of a song. I like it, great
dance song, that's what she's for. It just ain't got no spirit
great to dance to? Sure. Chart sticker? Prolly.
Classic? Nah.

Delicious: Beth Ditto - EP

One crazy pitch. They make her songs good! :D
Ms. Ditto. The front woman of The Gossip, outspoken
homosexual, and supporter of many feminist and LGBT causes,
has a BRAND NEW solo EP! It's been in the works awhile
and has been in the sphere news for a couple months. She worked
with the production team Simian Mobile Disco (AKA James Ford
and Jas Shaw) on it, and it "[goes] deeper into the psychedelic disco
territory." says SMD. It's officially released to purchase HERE.

Edit: Official artwork found!

Listen to this here sample:

Revisiting: Patrick Stump

Don't recognize him? Don't think he wanted you to. The Kevin Bacon Lookalike club is looking for him though.
Fresh off his Jenny Craig diet, the dramatically
different looking Patrick Stump (in my opinion it looks like
he's now much older than his real age of 26 says...) is re-emerging
from his self-condemned solitude after the fall of FOB. He's
also had a couple cameos in other albums since then, but
has still been off the radar for some time. He's done
a couple interviews and has released a single (two versions actually,
get them by clicking HERE) I won't link 'em. Don't care to.
The singles are very good. I personally lost interest in him
after the fall of Fall Out Boy upon reading many interviews and
quotes after the break up about how the band was basically
copycatting other bands and just feigning interest
in the music they themselves' were releasing. Ironic,
considering how some of their songs were stating
how they weren't sell-outs, but whatever.

However, in new interviews, he has stated how he's
making music on his "own terms". All I ever ask of an artist
is that they are making music they care about or comes
from their hearts. Seems he's come around, check out this
sweet vid. Although he's far less cute now (IMO) maybe
he can recoup some respect with stuff like this.

Delicious: Clare Maguire

Yet another UK gem.
Clare Maguire's first official album "Light After Dark", becomes
available February 28th, 2011. Save that date, because she'll
boom soon after that. Like Katy B, and Alison Pierce, this
year could very well belong to one of them, if not all of them.
Keep them on your watch list because they're coming. For
your love and attention. With a switchblade.
I don't know what I meant by that. Anyhoo, take a listen to
her official video for "The Last Dance". She apparently
wrote this track the day after Michael Jackson died,
she was "...a huge, huge fan of his." she said in an interview
with Blackbook
